T-Ball falls under the Baseball Canada Rally Cap Program (along with Coach Pitch).
Three teams are assigned to the field. While two teams are playing a half inning, the third team is in the field practicing specific (fun!) drills to work on skills such as fielding, throwing, catching, batting, etc. Once the half inning is finished, the teams rotate with the team that was working on skills coming in to play and one of the teams playing going out to work on skills. The games last a total of 75 minutes and typically consist of teams playing three innings and working on three separate drills.
TBall is for players aged 5, 6 and 7 and is usually played for one season. Players are evaluated mid and end of season and are given report cards and new hats if they meet the skills requirements.
Once players are ready to hit without a tee they move up to Coach Pitch.
